OUR DISTINGUISHED KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

PROF. IR. DR. SHAHRUM ABDULLAH

Professor Ir. Dr. Shahrum Abdullah is a recognised expert in structural durability and integrity at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), where he serves as Professor of Mechanical Engineering and leads the Computational and Experimental Mechanics (CEM) Research Group. His research focuses on fatigue and fracture behaviour in lightweight metallic structures, combining hands-on laboratory testing with advanced digital engineering tools such as signal analysis, finite element modelling, and machine learning for predictive insights. Over the years, he has led numerous nationally and industry-funded projects, contributing practical solutions for improved damage evaluation and life prediction of engineering components. He has also published extensively in high-impact journals. His current work continues to advance smarter, data-driven approaches to durability assessment, supporting safer structures and more sustainable engineering solutions.
